Terms of Service & Disclaimer
Last Updated & Effective: September 2026
⚠️ Emergency Medical Disclaimer: Lifeline is a voluntary coordination and notification utility connecting donors with hospitals. Lifeline does not test, draw, store, or transfuse blood directly. All medical screening, blood testing, cross-matching, and transfusions are performed exclusively by accredited medical facilities and licensed hospital blood banks.
1. Voluntary Participation
All blood donations registered through Lifeline are 100% voluntary, unpaid, and altruistic. Commercial buying, selling, or bartering of human blood and blood components is strictly prohibited by law and is a direct violation of our platform terms.
2. Hospital Responsibilities
Partner medical centers are responsible for verifying donor identity, conducting preliminary health questionnaires, checking hemoglobin levels, and testing collected blood for infectious markers according to national blood safety guidelines before administering transfusions.
3. Emergency Response Times
While Lifeline algorithms broadcast alerts immediately upon submission, arrival times depend on donor availability, traffic, and hospital triage queue. In severe life-threatening emergencies, patients and caregivers should always simultaneously engage emergency medical services (911 / 112).
4. Platform Conduct
Users agree to provide true and accurate information when registering as a donor or submitting a blood request. Submitting fraudulent requests or abusing emergency dispatch channels will lead to immediate account termination and reporting to relevant civil authorities.
