Lifeline is a connection platform, not a medical provider. We help donors and people in need find each other faster. We do not screen donors medically, guarantee blood availability, or provide emergency medical services. In a true emergency, always contact a hospital or emergency services directly.
1What Lifeline does
Lifeline lets registered donors share their blood type and city so others can find them, and lets anyone submit an urgent blood request that's broadcast to matching donors. We facilitate the connection — the actual donation, screening, and medical process happens at a hospital or blood bank, governed by that institution's own procedures.
2Account responsibilities
When you register as a donor, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your blood type and location
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Update your profile if your blood type or city information was entered incorrectly
3Submitting blood requests
Anyone can submit a blood request without creating an account, since emergencies shouldn't wait on sign-up forms. By submitting a request, you confirm the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submitting deliberately false or spam requests is prohibited and may result in the request being removed.
4No medical guarantee
Lifeline does not guarantee that a donor will respond to any given request, that donated blood will be compatible or safe without proper hospital screening, or that response times shown on the platform reflect actual outcomes. All blood donation and transfusion procedures must go through a licensed hospital or blood bank.
5Limitation of liability
Lifeline, its operators, and volunteers are not liable for medical outcomes, delays in response, or actions taken by donors or requesters connected through the platform. Use of Lifeline is at your own discretion and risk.
6Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as Lifeline grows. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
